Music that....Has Really Great Lyrics.

Here are some really great lyics. I recommend getting a hold of these songs as soon as possible. Ask me iff you need some, ahem...assistance.

We'll start off with... who else? David Gray:
From Shine
I can see it in your eyes
what I know in my heart is true
That our love it has faded
Like the summer run through
And we'll walk down the shoreline
One last time together
Feel the wind blow our wondering hearts like a feather
But who knows whats waiting in the wings of time
We're gonna go where we can shine

It's something about the delivery that makes this song. He is so precies... or something, I'm really not sure. Anyway, this opening verse is referenced throughout the rest of the song, which is just cool.

Saint Simon - The Shins
Mercy's eyes are blue
When she places them in front of you
And nothing really holds a candle to
The solemn warmth you feel inside of you
There's no measuring of it
Nothing else is love

Again, its all about the delivery. You just gotta hear it.

Glory Bound - Martin Sexton
I'm taking a chance on the wind
Im packing up all my bags
Making a mistake I've gotta make
And then I'm glory bound

If you've heard it then you know. That voice man! It's just sick. This is the chorus and it is led into with a 'hey, eh eh..hey-ey' and fading guitar note. And then it just drops on ya... ba-Boom! Quite a feat from such a tiny, quiet song.

Serve You - Chris Whitley
Now the moon will rise on you naked faith
Cause a wave to break where you bathe

That guy gone and writ some lyrics! Who cares what it means!

Take care.
