Choice.

Do you ever think about what it means to be human? It seems to me that the most fundamental human condition is the ability to choose. War sucks, no doubt, but what is world peace worth without the possibility of world war? You hear people all the time saying how there can't be good without bad, happy without sad, and peace without war.

But this kind of thinking is a severe misstep in my mind.

You dont need war to know peace, you only need the possibility of war to know peace.

This is the true genius of evolution. As cold and as seemingly heartless as evolution seems, it was able to create beings who can now choose peace over war. Which is awesome.

So, with a fresh year on our hands, how about exercizing a little choice, eh?
