Life in Slow Motion (Is Too Fast).

Whoa boy, life has been crazy. Managed to sell my car, which was entirely bitter sweet. I'm really gonna miss that thing. But I also was able to pick up that scooter I've been eyeing and it is sweeeeet. Total blast to ride. Very smooth, quick, nimble....and efficient. Not to mention solidly under a 3 year warranty and still dirt cheap. No more car payments or excessive car insurance bills and gas costs will be cut by 60%.

In the mean time, I've started working at Panera. Still learning as I go, but I'm getting the swing of things and I think it's gonna work well with school. It's only been 5 days with the scooter but already, and in a strange way, this new found limited mobility is revealing itself to have positive side effects. Being resourceful is mandatory. Instead of running a quick errand here or there, I'll take 2 hours and do them all, and occasionally making the grocery store the last place I stop. But more than just catalyzing resourcefulness, it's becoming clear the true number of options I have within just a few miles.

To top it all off, I've been having a blast staying up ridiculously late with Kelly doing various things such as scooter adventures, downtown tampa walk-a-thons, splashing wars in broken fountains behind business complexes and brownie eating contests during teenage mutant ninja turtle movies. As a general rule the fun tends to begin somewhere after midnight. Plus, she can imitate at least 93 different accents.

It all comes together though, as I usually work 3pm or so to 11pm or so. This leaves plenty of time to sleep. Sometimes. What I'm getting at is the isuue of time. This summer seems to have been happening in slow motion, I meant to get so much done in early June and it's taken this long to line it all up, and still somehow, its gone so fast.

This is a rather disparate post, but in keeping with that trend, I'll point out one last thing. I think I might advertise computer help in the USF Oracle. I'll be selective in the work I do and keep the traveling distances to a minimum. But it could be a nice way to score some extra cash.

Also, I'm stoked for school to start.
