Tea.

I wouldn't claim to be the healthiest eater. Irregular meals and fast food are not uncommon in my eating habits. But I'll pop some vitamins occassionally and every once in a while I get a green kick. Broccoli, spinach leaves, green apples and so on.

However, I do like to have some kind of corner stone element of healthy eating. For the past two years or so, it's been tea. First is was the green tea from publix that comes in the gallon jugs. Yum. But after Kelly taught me the proper methods and portionings, I've been making my own. The recipe is always evolving, but believe I've hit a landmark concoction.

First and maybe most crucially, you must boil all the water you use to make the tea. Patrick informed me recently that the potency of sperm in males has been decreasing for some time. The cause is believed to be the estrogen hormones commonly found in drinking water. Just as one's body expels any extra or unneeded vitamins, so too is any abundance of the hormones found in The Pill expelled. Hormones, he tells me, are extremely small and water filtration systems are unable to catch them. Bioling the water leaves you with clean water.

After filling a gallon jug about 85% full with recently boiled water, I hang three tea bags inside and let the water soak in the tea flavoring and accompanying antioxidants. Next, I fill the jug with cranberry-raspberry juice, leaving enough room for a final ingredient and space to make shaking it up easy. The juice of course contains no added sugar and is 100% juice.

The final ingredient is just a bit of locally made honey. I've heard often that local honey can be good for people with allergies because it builds resistance to some local airborne diseases. Plus, compared to spinach, honey has equivalent levels of antioxidants.

Shake it like crazy, then stick it in the fridge for a couple hours.

The thing I like about this mix is the way the taste of the tea, fruit, and honey remain distinct if you seek the flavors but nevertheless combine into one if thats what you're looking for.

Yum.
