Two More Movie Ideas.

Here are two more movie idea's I'd like to execute:

1.) Imagine getting together with a small group of people, maybe eight or ten, on a given day and attempting to concieve, shoot, and edit a short film in that one day. The twist though would be that the whole process of conception, shooting and editing would be filmed and that the process itself would constitute most of the short film. I envision the final film being 30-40 minutes long (making it by far my longest yet) with the final 5 minutes being the actual short.

Downtown Tampa is an enchanting place for me. I just love walking around during the off hours. It's ironic that all the effort that was put into constructing all that infrastructure has resulted in such limited use, especially on the weekend and especially on Sundays. Why not put that to use? And since my last movie inspired by Just A Couple of Days came out so well, why not another? Hence, idea number two...

2.) Imagine a wide variety of shots showing a number of individuals running by themselves through the empty streets of a typical urban center. Running, running, running. Some may appear frightened, as though they are running from someone or something, others running joyously like a dog just detached from a leash at a big fresh park. Some people may be jogging, others skipping. There could be slow motion shots, shots taken from a distance, and shots earned close up to see the runners face. The key is that all the individual people are shot running alone without any other motion in the shot: no car or buses, no dogs, no birds or squirrels, and certainly no other people. Then all at once they come together, lined up shoulder to shoulder, standing on the sidewalk at the border of a park on the edge of the river. Motionless in every place but their eyes, they look around and then all at once take off their shoes and run around barefoot on the grass.

Remember the end of 40 Year Old Virgin when all the chracters are running around singing and laughing? A bit like that, but I imagine something that borders on cheesiness, instead of swimming through it. Lots of quick shots, no slow motion unless absolutely necessary, lots of closeups, lots of feet on the grass, and so on.
