The following is an attempt at good ideas, stream of consciousness style. Keyword: attempt.

An anonymous community dream journal. A community garden. A non-profit bank. A non-profit health care organization. A non-profit car insurance group. A day off from school that coincides with a mandatory public transportation only day -- all the school buses can be used to pick up all the business men and women heading all over, but downtown mostly. Just to see what happens. A bigger community garden. A women's night out. A cut you're neighbors lawn day. And by neighbor I mean randomly assigned fellow city resident. More! A traveling drum circle and by traveling I mean by foot, in a line, all over the city. For a week. A coin tossing contest. A city wide photo taking contest where the winning entry is put on the side of a bus (or five). A city sponsered political discussion group, no yelling allowed. A dog walking day through downtown Tampa. A public graffiti contest. A 'Beat Last Years Recycling Percentage' contest. A stand on your street city wide moment: everyone attempts to stand in their street at the same time for 5 minutes. A dvd swap: everyone brings a movie to a central location that they are willing to trade and everyone finds someone (a stranger) they would like to trade with. A photo swap in the same vein. And a book swap. Whats the point of living in a city if no one is going to get out of their car?
