The Zach Benjamin Experience.
Occassionally, I miss my car. The longing for it stems almost totally from my present inability to offer what Harry termed the Zach Benjamin Experience. Mostly, it involved a carefully selected playlist, with a special focus on the opening and closing tracks. My righthand usually rested on the gear knob which placed my hand right next to the volume dial. In this way I could be in good control of the car and the volume so that when discussion warranted a quick stop and/or a change in volume, I was ready. It was a subconscious thing most of the time. I could even control when to repeat or skip a song if the mood required it. I loved being able to take sudden detours, and my passengers would be, "Where are we going?" And I'd be, "I don't know.. exactly, but around here somewhere there's a..." My car was so tiny too. Sure it was a bit cozy for the four of us. But we got around. Yeah, the Zach Benjamin Experience. That was a good time and occassionally, I miss that car.
